The Housekeeping Department is regarded as the backbone of a hotel. The Housekeeping Department looks after the care and upkeep of the hotel. Housekeeping Department is headed by Housekeeping Manager.

Housekeeping management is responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, public spaces, and other areas within a hotel or hospitality establishment. This includes managing a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring that rooms are cleaned and maintained to a high standard, and implementing and enforcing housekeeping policies and procedures. The housekeeping manager also handles inventory control for supplies and equipment, schedules cleaning and maintenance tasks, and ensures that health and safety regulations are met. The goal of housekeeping management is to maintain clean and attractive facilities and to provide guests with a comfortable and pleasant environment during their stay.
